Ronald Rosen is Special Deputy Liquidator for National Annuity Company.  He was employed by the California Department of Insurance for over 30 years until his retirement in 2004 where he held the position of Supervising Insurance Examiner and Chief of one of two Property and Casualty bureaus in the Financial Analysis Division.  For 15 of those years he was involved in the receivership of insurance companies, holding the position of Deputy Insurance Commissioner and Chief of the Conservation and Liquidation Division for over six years.  Prior to his employment with the California Department of Insurance Mr. Rosen had ten years experience in the private sector of the insurance industry in both the life and health sector and the property and casualty sector. 

Mr. Rosen was selected as Administrative Supervisor and ultimately as Special Deputy Liquidator of American Western Life Insurance Company as a result of that company being physically located in California while Mr. Rosen was still employed by the California Department of Insurance.   

Subsequent to his retirement from the California Department of Insurance Mr. Rosen has acted as consultant to various law firms and others on matters concerning the financial regulation of insurers.

 Mr. Rosen is a founding member of the International Association of Insurance Receivers.
